What the Cavs’ Tyler Childw-Dunn could become in the NBA

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Tyler Ann Dunn is in line to join the San Antonio Spurs as a free agent.

ESPN’s Chris Haynes first reported the news.

ESPN.com has reached out to the Spurs for comment.

The Cavs have a strong interest in Dunn, who has struggled with injuries and hasn’t played since Feb. 18 due to knee and back issues.

He averaged 11.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists last season.

He shot a career-low 42.8 percent from the field.

San Antonio also has a strong desire to acquire Dunn.

He could be an option to play alongside Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green.

Dunn has a history with the Spurs.

He signed with the franchise as a 19-year-old out of Kentucky in 2005 and spent five seasons in San Antonio before retiring after the 2011-12 season.
