Carrie Fisher, the mother of the actor and “Star Wars” star, filed a lawsuit Monday alleging that her son Robert Fisher and his mother had conspired to defraud her of more than $4.6 billion in assets.
Robert Fisher, 73, has also been charged with wire fraud and tax evasion.
In a statement, his attorneys, James C. Shapiro and John B. Cohen, wrote: “The allegations are false and without merit.
We intend to defend this lawsuit vigorously and to vigorously defend the truthfulness of the statements made by Robert Fisher regarding his family finances.”
They said they were working on a statement of claim that would seek to recover the alleged misappropriation.
