Teenager ‘was raped by her mother after she found out she was pregnant’

An 18-year-old Adelaide girl is seeking help after she says her mother and her father sexually assaulted her and forced her to give birth.

Key points:An 18-month-old girl was allegedly raped by two of her mother’s friends, her mother was charged with the offences, and a second man was charged over her involvementIn a statement released to media, the victim’s mother says she “will never forgive” her daughter’s alleged father-in-law and has said she is “hopeful” the woman will be charged in relation to the attack.

“I have decided to leave my child in the care of someone who will protect her from harm,” the victim wrote in the statement released on Friday.

“The police are treating this as a sexual assault and will investigate it as such.”

As a mother, I will never forgive myself for allowing this to happen.

“Police say a woman’s 20-year history of violence against her daughter, who was allegedly attacked in her home in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, has been “documented”.”

The 18-Month-Old Victim was sexually assaulted by her Mother and her Father,” Adelaide Police said in a statement.”

This incident was reported to the Adelaide Police Service on the 18th of August, 2018 and the investigation into this matter is ongoing.

“The woman, who cannot be named, has since spoken to the media and told them she has been in and out of a hospital with “multiple internal injuries”.”

It’s been a difficult time for me,” she said.”

When I was pregnant, my baby was conceived through in vitro fertilisation and my husband has been caring for her ever since.

“She has been released from hospital and is currently being cared for by a friend.

Police are investigating the incident and are seeking a third person in relation.”
